Today saw the first West Midland Liberal Democrat training event of 2005 take place in Dudley. The training was on PageMaker - a piece of desk-top publishing software. The event was attended by twelve members from across the West Midlands.
The training was delivered by West Midlands Training Officer Colin Ross, Councillor Dave Hodgson and Councillor Dave Radcliffe and looked at all stages of desk-top publishing and the quirks of PageMaker specifically. The members who attended remarked on how useful the session was and it is anticipated the session will be run again, at least once more, later in the year.
The training event was the first of many. January sees five training events across the region, there will be training on computer software, membership recruitment and retention as well as election planning for this year's County Council and General Elections.
