Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy is to visit Shrewsbury and Atcham next week as part of a tour of the party's top target seats.

He will join Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Richard Burt and local councillors on a visit to pensioners at the Monkmoor Day Centre in Forest Way, Monkmoor, Shrewsbury at 2.15pm on Tuesday February 15th.

Charles Kennedy will be visiting the Monkmoor Day Centre run by Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Age Concern at Crowmore Community Room, Forest Way, Monkmoor. He will talk to pensioners and Age Concern staff about pensions and related issues for older people. It has recently been announced that the Age Concern club at the centre faces closure.

Mr Kennedy will arrive at 2.15 pm, having arrived at a nearby airfield on a plane flown by Lembit Opik MP.
