Mr Keetch, who with Sir Menzies Campbell led the Liberal Democrat opposition in Westminster to Tony Blair's war on Iraq, will perform the opening ceremony in support of Shrewsbury and Atcham Liberal Democrat candidate Richard Burt's campaign. The Liberal Democrats have moved into new office space giving them double the room to gear up for their General Election push in the constituency. Richard Burt said "We are delighted to welcome Paul Keetch MP to Shrewsbury to open our new campaign headquarters. The whole place will be buzzing with activity in the expectation of Tony Blair calling the General Election next week. We expect it to be a close fight between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives this time round here in Shrewsbury, and we will be making every effort to defend the seat successfully."
