Liberal Democrats over double their vote share in Shrewsbury by-election12.26.16pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 1st Apr 2005 Shrewsbury Liberal Democrats over doubled their share of the vote last night in the Sutton and Reabrook by-election. In what is one of the last Council by-elections before the County Council and likely General Election, The Liberal Democrats over doubled their share of the vote and were the only party to win more votes, whilst both the Labour and Conservatives lost votes as did the Green Party and the BNP. The full result is as follows: Labour 670 votes 46.0% (-1.9%) Conservative 479 votes 32.9% (-3.8%) Caroline Cheyne 255 votes 17.5% (+9.8%) BNP 28 votes 1.9% (-2.7%) Green 25 votes 1.7% (-1.3%)
