"I welcome the IRA's recognition that the only way to achieve peace in Northern Ireland is through democratic rather than violent means. The Northern Irish authorities should build on the momentum of this announcement to spur forward the peace process. However, the IRA must ensure that their deeds do indeed match up with their words."
