Nothing justifies London bombings - Oaten

Commenting on the release of video footage of Mohammed Siddique Khan attempting to justify his role in the 7/7 bombing attacks on London, Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, Mark Oaten MP said:

"There can be no justification for the bombings that took place in London.

"Britain's involvement in the war in Iraq is no excuse for Muslim extremism.

"However, it would be wrong for the government to deny that Muslim communities feel a sense of unease about our involvement in Iraq. While trying to tackle terrorism we must acknowledge that unease."
