Industry must take action over store cards rip off - Lamb

5.24.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 14th Sep 2005

Norman Lamb MP, Lib Dem Treasury Select Committee Member

Commenting on the Competition Commission report into store cards, Liberal Democrat Shadow Trade and Industry Secretary, Norman Lamb MP said:

"This report confirms that many store cards are a rip-off. Purchase insurance is making huge profits for the providers but is largely useless for the consumer. It is now up to the industry to respond to these complaints."
