Tom Brake at Lib Dem Conference

Commenting on Network Rail's plans to secure £4billion of private investment to renovate a number of railway stations and provide new retail outlets and commercial developments, Liberal Democrat Shadow Transport Secretary, Tom Brake MP said:

"Shop until you drop must not squeeze out the need for safe stations. With the Governments safe stations scheme stalling, Network Rail must get private investors to do their bit for Britain's stations."
