Web site servers crash

12.20.09pm GMT Sun 22nd Jan 2006

The servers on which this web site is hosted crashed on Friday 20 January. Praiter-Raines, the company running the service, made urgent repairs. They found that not only had the server's hard drive been damaged to the extent that it had to be replaced but that their back up system had failed. As a result all updates and postings on this site made during January were lost and could not be recovered. We are trying to put things right as quickly as possible ourselves.
