Reid must tackle tough questions over control orders - Clegg

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 18th Oct 2006

Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, Nick Clegg MP, has sent a letter to John Reid demanding answers to five urgent questions over the use of control orders.

Nick Clegg MP said "For a Government so absorbed by public relations it is shameful that the Home Secretary now refuses to answer pressing questions which are of overwhelming interest to the British public.

"Choosing to duck any meaningful scrutiny when the going gets tough is hardly a display of clear leadership from Mr Reid."
