Susan Kramer MP campaigns against the use of cluster munitions

Liberal Democrat Shadow International Development Secretary, Susan Kramer MP will call for an international ban on the use of cluster munitions when she launches the Handicap International report 'Fatal Footprint' on Thursday.

Susan will say "Time and time again we have seen the devastating consequences of cluster munitions.

"According to this report 98% of casualties from cluster munitions are civilians. How can this possibly be justified?

"The UK Government must press for an international ban on their use at next week's UN Review Conference. I have written to Hilary Benn to press this issue."
