Post offices should join Link network - Davey

8.07.19pm GMT Mon 11th Dec 2006

The Liberal Democrats have called for The Post Office to be allowed to join the Link network, to generate extra revenue and safeguard many branches.

Liberal Democrat Shadow Trade and Industry Secretary, Edward Davey MP said "If the Government is serious about saving our post offices, it should allow the Post Office to join the Link network.

"This would increase Post Offices business, benefit communities and enhance viability of smaller branches.

"The Government must stop blaming others and take action to safeguard our Post Offices and help the people they serve."
