Commenting on the replaying of pictures of the build up to Saddam Hussein's execution, Liberal Democrat Leader Menzies Campbell said:

"The images of Saddam Hussein with a noose around his neck are extremely disturbing and unnecessary.

"The judicial process is devalued and demeaned by showing such pictures."
