US air strikes raise stakes in conflict - Moore

Commenting on the US air raids in southern Somalia, Liberal Democrat Shadow Foreign Secretary, Michael Moore MP said:

"The American action in Somalia significantly raises the stakes in the conflict.

"The attack must be urgently considered by the UN Security Council and the basis of the action justified.

"There must be clear limits to the military intervention to prevent the risk of a disastrous escalation of the regional conflict."
