Departure of Dyke and Davies remains a scandal - Foster

12.54.16pm GMT Fri 12th Jan 2007

Commenting on the release of minutes relating to the departures of Greg Dyke and Gavyn Davies from the BBC, Liberal Democrat Shadow Culture, Media and Sport Secretary, Don Foster MP said:

"The Governors' belief that Dyke's departure would ease charter renewal is now being severely tested by the Government's tight-fisted approach to the licence fee.

"Greg Dyke and Gavyn Davies were extraordinary leaders. It remains a scandal that they are the only two people to have lost their jobs as a result of the false prospectus for the Iraq war."
