CALLING NOTICE: LIBDEMS LAUNCH MHDC ELECTIONS MANIFESTO8.12.04pm GMT Mon 12th Feb 2007 Next Saturday (17th February) the Liberal Democrats will launch their manifesto for the Malvern Hills District Council elections, to be held on 3rd May. The group's 2007 manifesto will be presented to councillors and candidates at Priory Lodge Hall at 11am by MHDC Council Leader, Councillor Di Rayner. West Worcestershire's Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt will also attend. Members of the press are welcome. Councillor Di Rayner said: "Since taking control of the council in 2003 from a failing Tory administration, we have steadily improved performance and are now in the top quartile of councils nationally according to government ratings. "At the same time, rises in the District Council share of Council Tax have been kept low, under 3% this year and the same for next year, delivering value for money and good quality services." Richard Burt said: "The Liberal Democrats, in administration with the Green Party have delivered on their manifesto pledges and have put in place an imaginative programme to make the district cleaner, greener and safer over the next four years
