'THANKS, BUT NO THANKS' - TORY LITTER PICK IN PARK SIMPLY NOT NEEDED6.23.46pm GMT Tue 6th Mar 2007 Following the announcement by West Worcestershire Conservatives that they plan a 'Green Action Day' on Saturday to pick up litter in Priory Park after the 'Save our Health Service' Rally, West Worcestershire's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate and Rally Organiser, Richard Burt has said 'Thanks, but no thanks!' Mr Burt said: "Did the Conservatives really think that we would not have made provision to clean up the park after the rally? A quick call to me would have reassured them on this point. "By all means go elsewhere and collect any general litter they can find, but for goodness sake, stop trying to find a diversion for the day and come and support the rally about the future of the NHS in our county. "I have invited Sir Michael Spicer to speak, and I still await a positive response. The Tories are running the risk of making themselves look foolish by trying to divert attention away from the event."
