Fourteen Babies removed from one mother - UK reported to United Nations Human Rights Commissioner

6.10.13pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 5th Jun 2007

With the relevation yesterday that one mother has had fourteen babies removed and that multiple removals are quite common John Hemming MP has written to the Prime Minister calling for him to stop this maltreatment of families.

John Hemmings MP

"The article merely made public something I was always aware of." said Mr Hemming. "I reported the UK to the UN about a week ago and they should have received my letter now. People would not have believed me had I stated this, but when a Family Court Judge says it it makes it obvioulsy true. The largest number of babies I knew about being removed from the same mother previously was nine."

"The Prime Minister is personally responsible for driving up forced adoptions in the UK. Before he leaves office he could so something about this. I won't hold my breath though."
