KEETCH MEETS VIRGIN LIFE SAVERS11.08.58pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 16th Oct 2007 It was an emotional time for Lib Dem MP, Paul Keetch, when he met up with the crew members of the Virgin Atlantic flight on which he was taken ill last July. Mr Keetch, who has no recollection of the events that took place that day, invited the crew members to the Commons to thank them for all that they did when the emergency occurred. "It was quite emotional as well as somewhat bizarre to greet the Virgin staff as I cannot remember much about that flight at all," Mr Keetch explained.
"But I know that their training and expertise brought me through and without them I would not have survived. They recounted to me what had happened and the actions that each took as part of a team to bring me back to life, as I was considered dead for several minutes. It was quite surreal to listen to their versions of events, knowing that I was there but couldn't remember it at all! "I am and always will be eternally grateful to this fantastic group of people and am pleased that they were able to join me at Westminster to let me thank them in person."
