LIBERAL DEMOCRAT LEADER, NICK CLEGG TO MEET BATTLING PARENTS OF PERSHORE CARE CENTRE

Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg will meet battling parents from Pershore Care Centre as the latest twist in their fight to save the Centre from closure.

Local parliamentary candidate, Richard Burt has backed the parents' campaign from the beginning and will accompany Mr Clegg on his visit to the town on Thursday 10th July.

Richard Burt said:

"Pershore is still solidly behind the parents' battle to keep the Centre open and continues to display posters supporting the campaign after their recent rally.

"I know that parents and carers have not given up and wanted them to have the opportunity to highlight their case when Nick visits us in July.

"I have requested county council permission for a meeting to take place at 12.15pm at the Pershore Care Centre, and hope to have that confirmed within a few days."
