LIB DEM LEADER CONGRATULATES PERSHORE CARE CENTRE PARENTS

Pershore's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt and Liberal Democrat Leader, Nick Clegg have both sent their congratulations to the men who fought so hard with their parents and carers to save Pershore Care Centre.

Nick Clegg visited the home of Judy and Tony Hall last summer to raise the profile of the campaign.

Richard said:

"I am absolutely delighted that the judge has ruled in favour of these men and kept their Care Centre open. The whole of Pershore will be celebrating with them. It's a red letter day for the town."

Nick Clegg said:

"Please convey my congratulations to the parents and carers on their utter determination to fight for justice for their sons.

"It was clear the county council had got its spending priorities wrong, putting these people through months of untold worry and stress. Now they can face the future secure and certain that their lives will no longer be disrupted."
